J Street, An Obama Front Group Drove Palin Off NYC Iran Protest Speaker List

Sep 22, 2008 - 1:34 am

J Street is an Obama front group. Two prominent names:

Jeremy Ben Ami, executive director. He was 2003-04 policy director for Howard Dean’s campaign and 1992-1996 deputy domestic policy advisor, Bill Clinton

Alan Solomont, 1997-1998, national finance chairman of the Democratic National Committee. Raised $35 million for Kerry and in Jan. 2007 announced he would be fund-raising for Obama.

Many of those who have declared themselves “Jews for Obama” such as Alan Wurtzel are involved, as is Eli Pariser, somewhere in the background, the guy who runs Moveon.Org.

Their main interest is getting Obama elected first and the welfare of Israel second. Jstreet seems to have been formed to counter the doubts expressed among Jews about Obama. They are pushing Obama’s party line to negotiate face to face with Ahmadinejad first and to play down the existential threat a nuclear Iran poses to Israel.

In their eyes the main enemy of Israel in the world is not Ahmadinejad, but McCain. Sabotaging a protest against Iran with Palin is more important to them than recruiting the widest possible political support for Israel’s cause.

With friends like this, Israel does not need enemies.
