More than 120 retired generals and admirals posted an open letter questioning the legitimacy of the 2020 election results and President Joe Biden’s mental and physical health.
"Without fair and honest elections that accurately reflect the 'will of the people' our Constitutional Republic is lost," stated the letter, which was released Monday by "Flag Officers 4 America" and signed by 124 former admirals and generals.
“Election integrity demands insuring there is one legal vote cast and counted per citizen. Legal votes are identified by State Legislature’s approved controls using government IDs, verified signatures, etc. Today, many are calling such commonsense controls ‘racist’ in an attempt to avoid having fair and honest elections,” it continued.
The letter added that the FBI and Supreme Court “must act swiftly when election irregularities are surfaced and not ignore them as was done in 2020.”
Flag Officers 4 America says on its website that it is a group of “retired military leaders who pledged to support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic.” The website adds that retired military members are “bound by that oath to do what we can, in our capacity today, to protect our nation from the threats to her freedom.”
The letter, which also warned of the harms of socialism, Marxism, and “progressivism,” went on to question Biden’s health and fitness for the job.
"The mental and physical condition of the Commander in Chief cannot be ignored. He must be able to quickly make accurate national security decisions involving life and limb anywhere, day or night," the letter said.
The remarks come as former President Donald Trump has continued to argue that the election was “stolen” from him, which has been met with repeated criticisms of being a conspiracy theory.
“The Fraudulent Presidential Election of 2020 will be, from this day forth, known as THE BIG LIE!” Trump said in a statement on May 3.
