Lisa and Jeff Licht and Anita and Dr. Barry Porten, both of Huntingdon Valley, Pa., are thrilled to announce the engagement of their children Lauren Ashley Licht and Cody Jarad Porten.

Lauren earned a Bachelor of Science in supply chain information systems from the Schreyer Honors College at Pennsylvania State University. She is a manager of profit improvement and procurement for Saks Fifth Avenue and Lord and Taylor.

Cody graduated with a Bachelor of Science in public relations from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University. He is a manager of online communications at Ketchum, Inc.

Lauren is the granddaughter of Rene Abrams and the late Arnold Abrams, Stuart and Barbara Licht, and the late Phyllis Licht. Cody is the grandson of Sylvia Goldberg and the late Arnold Goldberg, and the late Ruth and Charlie Porten.

Sharing in the couple’s happiness are Lauren’s brother Jared, Cody’s sister Lauren and their many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Lauren and Cody, who are high school sweethearts, currently live in Manhattan. A September 2016 wedding is planned in Philadelphia.
