Judith Jacobson of Upper Dublin, Pa.; and Dr. Irving Jacobson of

Cinnaminson, N.J., announce the engagement of their son, Jared Ari Jacobson, to Amy L. Kahan, daughter of Joann Leary of Somers Point, N.J., and Robert Kahan of Phila delphia.
Amy attended Drexel University, and is the vice president of development at Tara Developers.
Jared attended Boston University, and went on to earn a Juris Doctor degree from the St. John's University School of Law in New York. He practices corporate law in Manhattan, where the couple lives.
Amy is the granddaughter of Vance and Miriam Gallagher, Pearl Kahan and the late Phillip Kahan. Jared is the grandson of the late Paul and Helen Jacobson, and the late Dr. Louis and Faigel Silverman.
The couple is planning a December wedding in Philadelphia.
