Caren Solomon of Yardley, and Michael and Judy Solomon of North Wales announce the engagement of their daughter, Julie Rachel Solomon, to Gregg Jeffrey Narod, son of Chuck and June Narod of Langhorne.
Julie is a graduate of Millersville University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology. She also holds a master's degree in social services from Bryn Mawr College. Julie is a social worker in the Research Treatment Center at the University of Pennsylvania.
Gregg holds a Bachelor of Science degree in operations management, as well as a Master of Business Administration degree, both of which he earned at Penn State University. He is a senior manager of global planning in Johnson & Johnson's Global Biologies Supply Chain.
Julie is the granddaughter of Mildred Solomon and the late Milton Solomon, and Norman Paul and the late Lorraine Paul. Gregg is the grandson of Edith Mendl and the late Herbert Mendl, and Max Narod and the late Sylvia Narod.
The couple met on JDate, only to discover that they both grew up at the same synagogue, Shir Ami-Bucks County Jewish Congregation in Newtown.
They are planning an October 2008 wedding.
