Shelley Benita Fishman
December 15, 1948 — May 13, 2023
Shelley Fishman, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend passed unexpectedly yet peacefully on May 13. Born and raised in Philadelphia and a graduate of Temple University, she was a life long educator and community advocate, particularly advancing women in leadership roles in professional organizations and politics. She loved her Tampa sports teams, her treasured pets, and most of all, her family and friends. Diagnosed with ALS 6 months ago, in lieu of flowers, you can honor her legacy by making a donation to further research on this devastating disease. [Survived by husband Benjamin. Mother to Seth (Lexie) Fishman in Pennsylvania and Ross (Gina) Fishman in Florida. Grandmother to Ethan and Zoey Fishman. Sister to Mark (Charlotte) Glass in Maryland.]
