Those among us who cruise the internet on a regular basis occasionally run across something that is so startling that it begs to be taken viral. RezkoWatch's recent find is a YouTube video posted on a forum called Wackbag.com.

No context is necessary, as we watch New Black Panther Party leader Malik Zulu Shabazz talk about Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) on John Batchelor's Sunday evening, May 11, 2008, WABC radio program (begins at 1:25).

SusanUnPC at No Quarter has the audio clip, with an article entitled "Obama, the Fullfillment of Black Liberation." (Also read the comments section.)

Larry Johnson at No Quarter concludes:

There is no denying Barack Obama is eager to put distance between himself and the likes of Jeremiah Wright, Louis Farrakhan, and Malik Shabazz. But those gentlemen now know that they must hide their true feelings and understandings. They know that most Americans would not support the Barack Obama they know. But their rhetoric goes beyond seeking justice and equal rights for all black Americans. They embrace a theology that puts blacks above whites.

This is the disaster of Barack. Instead of transcending race, he has embraced and lived in the heart of a radical theology that preaches racial division and black dominance. I’ll stick with Martin Luther King. I want to be judged by the content of my character, not the color of my skin. Malik Shabazz certainly does not believe that.

This is what, loosely transcribed from the end of the session, RW found to be simply amazing. Shabazz says that Sen. Obama, as president, fits in with Nation of Islam theology, or black liberation theology, that says black people ruled in the beginning and scriptures say "we will rule in the end", that Sen. Obama is a "sign" that Africa will rise next, that black people will rise to glory now, that Sen. Obama is the leading sign of that right now.

Another video clip immediately came to mind—Oprah Winfrey in South Carolina with Sen. Obama during his 2007 rally trifecta there, New Hampshire and Iowa. Oprah kept asking the audience "Is he the one?"

That put in the context that Oprah is a former member of Sen. Obama's church, Trinity United Church of Christ, whose pastor, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, preaches the same black liberation theology to which Shabazz refers, gave Oprah's words new meaning.
